Description:
About Gorgone

I am a french Kinbaku model and rigger."

I discovered Ropes 4 years ago. Immediately seduced, I started looking for real power exchange experiences in ropes and became interested in traditional Japanese rope bondage. I am now lucky enough to be a Rope educator and performer as a main passion and full-time job."

I started my path with Ropes as a model/bottom. I cannot say that I like it more than rigging, though if I had to learn to be a rigger it has always felt natural to bottom. My experience as a professional rope bottom brings to my rigging some very useful knowledge and understanding from the other side of the rope."

My path and identity as a rigger is the result of constant exposure to many different styles that I absorb, appropriate and develop on my own. I've had the privilege to learn from exposure to some of the world's greatest teachers but I am mostly self-taught and I do not identify to any specific Ryu (school/style)."

Though, my strongest influences remain Akira Naka Akihiko Nakamura and Kanna Nawashi that I chose to work with very closely. Naka Akira was the first and only one from whom I've received any formal tuition, I have been his regular model and partner for performances and workshops around the world and was recently given permission to teach his style (“Naka Style”)."

I am active in the International rope scene as a freelance performer, teacher and simple rope enthusiast. So far I have been teaching and/or performing as a model and/or a rigger in Paris, Berlin, London, Rome, Athens, Madrid, Lausanne, Prague, Bucharest, San Francisco, New-York, Louisville, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, Seattle, Virginia, Orlando, Tokyo and Osaka."

In May 2014 I had the great honor to be the very first non-Japanese woman to be ever photographed by renowned and talented SM photographer Norio Sugiura."

Program

Day 1.

HISHI (Diamond shape) STUDY:

Besides being so beautiful, these intricate ties are an excellent exercise and training for both the hands and the brain.

Aesthetically very pleasant, these ties are good to use for photo shooting or performances.

Used on the chest, the multitude of pressure points and breath play created by some of the variations make it very interesting for torture or sensation play with rope.

There are many variations of the "diamond shape" pattern, built according to different logics and styles.

This pattern can be incorporated in several styles of TK, leg ties or full- body variations.

According to the level and speed of the group we will cover one or several versions.

VARIATIONS ON AGURA & EBI SHIBARI:

The Agura Shibari (crossed legs or “Buddha pose”) is a very beautiful form that can be applied in many beautiful and challenging variations.

This very traditional looking tie is inspired from the ancient torture position ‘Ebi-zeme’: the prisoner was tied with his legs crossed in the front, arms in the back and later the chest would be forced and bent forward. Very constrictive and stressful, the many variations from this tie make it great for torture or sensation play with rope.

You will learn the basic ‘Agura' form, its variation in ‘Ebi’ and different transitions in semi and full suspensions.

Day 2.

‘Naka Style’ HIP-HARNESS - ‘CRAB TIE’ VARIATIONS:

This very simple, smart and useful harness is a great tie to add in your toolbox. Very versatile and easy to tie, it is great to incorporate in floor based ‘bondage for sex’ positions and more advanced and intricate suspensions.

We will play around with the ‘Crab Tie’, one of the free form based on Naka’s face-down harness. This specific variation is also known as "Gorgone's favourite”, so of course she will demo and teach this tie once again!

INTRO TO ‘YAGAMI RUY’ - Basics, specificities, method:

Ren Yagami’s style is quite unique and it’s basic concept and approach very different from any other style. His very advanced training in several Martial Arts (“Budo”) gives him a deep understanding of the body’s mechanics and the very powerful and subtle use of energy and flow that he brings into his Shibari.
The main focus of this style holds in these few words : “Karada o shibari, nagare o musubu” (Tie/lock the body and connect the flow). Basically, Yagami Ren teaches that you must first use the body to lock itself before applying the ropes.

Basic ties like the Ippon Shibari (Strappado), Teppo Shibari (Riffle tie) or Wakizarashi Shibari (bunny tie) are brought to a whole different level of efficiency and constriction by following his method.

Being his model for a month-long Tour, Gorgone has had the chance and privilege to absorb a lot of his knowledge and will share her understanding of this very specific ‘Yagami Ruy’ from both a rigger and model’s perspective.
