Event name: Community Class (N° 15) - "Before the rope comes out: consent and negotiation" @ Anatomie Studi
Event Date: 20/06/18 (DD/MM/YY)
Start Time: 19:00
End Time: 23:00
Description:
About our class

What is consent, anyways? Who consents in rope- and how do you get consent? Why, when, and where do you negotiate?

This class will explore the culture of consent that is so important in rope: it’ll be a guided discussion for all levels. We’ll cover consent from both sides of the rope, within new or established relationships, and discuss internal vs explicit expectations. We’ll discuss and practice different types of negotiation, and trouble-shoot common pitfalls.

We’ll also work through ‘What to do when shit goes wrong’- and ‘what to do when shit goes right!’

This class will have minimal hands-on rope, and is suitable for all levels. No partner necessary.
About our community classes

At Anatomie Studio we strive to bring you the best shibari classes with the very best shibari teachers we know, and although the workshops can be pricey, we think they’re well worth the investment, especially considering rope can be a high risk activity!

However, not everyone is able to afford our classes, and being committed to the dissemination of rope education as we are in the studio, we wanted to offer everyone the possibility to learn within their budgets in the new year.

For this reason, in 2017 we introduced semi-regular ‘Pay-What-You-Can’ community shibari classes by our in-house teachers. The classes will follow an informal structure, providing a mix of tutoring and peer lab time.
How can I secure a spot and when do I pay?

You will be able to make your donation anonymously and in cash at the end of the class. We suggest a minimum donation of £10 per person, please give what feels right within your budget.
